Liverpool target Adam looks to summer move

Liverpool transfer target Charlie Adam says he has the drive and ambition that could see him play for massive clubs.

The Blackpool midfielder was denied a transfer deadline day move to Liverpool last week, with Tangerines boss Ian Holloway eager to keep him in the club’s fight for survival until the end of the season.

But Adam is likely to move on in the summer, when he will have just one year left on his current deal with Blackpool.

Adam told the Daily Mail this morning, “Maybe the jump in money would have been enormous but if you’re a real footballer, you are here to play football. For me, it’s all about playing at football and playing at massive clubs.

“I don’t worry about moving to a bigger club and not getting a game. If these big clubs want to sign you then they want you to play.

“Deadline day was a bit crazy but it’s gone and focus is on Blackpool now. You never know what’s going to happen in the summer.”
