Daniel Agger’s season over

Liverpool will be without defender Daniel Agger for the rest of the season due to his knee injury.

The Danish international defender was taken off early in the Reds’ 2-1 defeat to West Brom on Saturday.

Later scans have show extensive damage and Agger will now be sidelined for Liverpool’s remaining 7 games of the Premier League season.

“Daniel has a problem with the tendon behind his knee and won’t be involved again this season,” confirmed manager Kenny Dalglish.

“He’ll be out for a couple of months before he can start training.”

Wishing Agger a safe recovery.

The Reds have also been dealt a big blow with the news that Glen Johnson will be ruled out until the end of April, whilst Steven Gerrard and Martin Kelly will be assessed on their injuries at the end of the week.
