Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina says he is looking forward to next season at Anfield, seemingly playing down any suggestion he may leave the club this summer.
The Reds goalkeeper had been linked with an exit from Merseyside this summer with all the turmoil of the team’s start to the season.
But Reina says he is happy with the club’s new direction under new owners and permanent manager Kenny Dalglish. And is optimistic bright days are ahead.
“I can assure you that I’m looking forward to next season,” he told BBC Radio Merseyside.
“Kenny signing a new contract has been a lift.”
“We play well because we’re living in beautiful days. We have to be optimistic and hopefully we will celebrate the title soon.”
