Blackpool have confirmed they have begun negotiations over the sale of midfielder Charlie Adam to Liverpool.
Adam is expected to complete a move to Anfield by the end of the week, with some reporting that he has returned early from a holiday in Dubai to see the transfer through.
However, Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston was keen to play down the advances in Adams’ imminent arrival on Merseyside.
He told the Blackpool Gazette, “We’ve had a few very preliminary discussions and enquiries but nothing of any substance.”
It is thought the Reds are ready to offer up to £10million for the services of the Scotland international.
