He might have played for Ajax and other clubs and I am sure he’ll be talked about with the Barcelona and Real Madrid of this world but he’ll never get the support he gets here. He’s made to wear that No 7 shirt.”

A Blossoming Midfield Partnership!

Meanwhile, Lucas Leiva, speaking to the official Liverpool website, has spoke of his newly formed midfield partnership with Charlie Adam so far this season after both players earned plaudits for their formidable partnership in the midfield during Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Chelsea

“Charlie is an offensive player and you could see his quality with the pass he gave for Glen to score. There are a lot of new players in this team and it does take a bit of time for everyone to get used to each other’s style of play.

“I am really enjoying playing alongside Charlie. I try to give him the licence to go forward and make a key pass. When we need to defend he is always back to help me and the more games we play together, the better we will be.

Charlie Adam was the run away Chelsea man of the match in our MelwoodToday Online poll with 50% of your votes… Glen Johnson tallied 13% of your votes.
