Andy Carroll and Craig Bellamy start for Liverpool against Newcastle this afternoon (1:30pm kick off).
There is also a surprise, but perhaps welcome, start for Jonjo Shelvey in midfield, replacing Jordan Henderson.
The Reds look likely to adopt a variation of 433 formation with Gerrard, Spearing and Shelvey in midfield, and Bellamy and Suarez playing just off Carroll.
Carroll was greeted by boos and shouts of judas as he left the team coach at St. James’ Park as he returns to his hometown club for the first time since his £35m move to Anfield last January.
