The free agents that LFC could turn to in striker shortage

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted the club will explore all options following the failure to make new signings on transfer deadline day.

With Luis Suarez and Fabio Borini the only senior strikers left in the squad, Rodgers said he will look at those who are available on a free transfer.

Rodgers said “We’re looking at [bringing in a striker] there’s no doubt about that. The group is very thin.

“It’s something our scouting network is looking at, to come up with some names and if we strike it lucky we might get something.

“But I’m not going to pin my hopes on it to be honest because there are not so many free agents who can come in and make a difference.”
