Liverpool are hoping to get reinforcements in early in the January transfer window and the focus is on strengthening their attacking options.

Here’s the main transfer reports from the media today.

Kevin Gameiro – From PSG

Paris St-Germain striker Kevin Gameiro remains a target for Liverpool despite the impending arrival of Daniel Sturridge, according to both The Times and The Telegraph.

The 25 year old Frenchman could be allowed to leave PSG on loan and would add some depth and experience to Liverpool’s attacking options.

Daniel Sturridge – From Chelsea

Sturridge’s £12m transfer should be announced tomorrow, prior to the Sunderland game – but the 23 year old won’t be able to feature in the game.

Thomas Ince – From Blackpool

The Times report Blackpool are holding out for £6m so Liverpool could wait until the summer when Ince’s contract expires and pick him up on a tribunal fee.

Joe Cole – To QPR

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in signing Joe Cole.

“I’ve got a lot of time for Joe as a player and as a person,” said Redknapp.

“I’d like to bring Joe here if I can but the deal would have to be right for the club.

“We couldn’t do a deal as it [Cole’s wages] is at Liverpool. I’ll have to speak to Brendan Rodgers. We’ll have a chat when the time’s right.”

Cole is reported to be on £100,000 per week at Liverpool and has 18 months left on his contract.

Sebastien Coates – To Various

QPR are also interested in taking Uruguayan defender Sebastien Coates from Anfield. Coates could be available for loan should Brendan Rodgers sign a new centre back.

The Times report Napoli, Juventus and Lazio as interested in Coates.
