“Nonsense” “Over-reaction” – Neville talks sense on Suarez bitegate

He may have been one of the most hated opponents during his time as a Man United player, but Gary Neville has gone on to become of the most levelled headed and analytic pundits in England.

The former United full back was again talking sense on Monday night football, when discussing the Luis Suarez “bitegate” on Branislav Ivanovic.

Neville described some of the claims in reaction to the incident as “nonsense” and “an over-reaction”, describing Suarez as a “street fighter” and made reference to his culture, as opposed to British culture.

“He’s made a big mistake. A big mistake. But he knows that and he’s now got to win people back and start again.”
