Goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi has left Liverpool to join Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg.
The 23 year old Hungarian joined Liverpool in 2008 from MTK, he has spent a lot of time out on loan while at the club – at Hereford, Tranmere and Hull City. He’s signed a four-year contract at Salzburg.
“I am pleased that as of now I will be able to play for an Austrian top club” said Gulacsi. “My goal is to compete to be the club’s number 1 and be successful with FC Red Bull Salzburg both domestically and in Europe.”
Gulacsi was highly rated at Anfield but found himself behind Pepe Reina and more recently Brad Jones. He didn’t make a first-team appearance, appearing on the bench 51 times.
Best of luck in the future, Peter.
