Australian Brad Jones has been handed a start as Liverpool play their first ever match down under, against Melbourne Victory (11am kick off UK).
Jones, from Perth, starts in goal for the first time this pre-season. Youngster Andre Wisdom also starts the match, alongside Martin Skrtel in defence.
Fabio Borini leads the attack, with teenage duo Raheem Sterling and Jordan Ibe out wide.
Attacker Philippe Coutinho isn’t involved after picking up a knock in training this week, and defender Kolo Toure is also missing with a tight calf. Neither injury is serious.
Luis Suarez is named among the subs. He could make a late cameo but has only been back in training two days.
Liverpool: Jones, Johnson, Skrtel, Wisdom, Enrique; Gerrard, Allen, Henderson; Ibe, Sterling, Borini.
Subs: Mignolet, Kelly, Coates, Agger, Flanagan, Spearing, Lucas, Downing, Alberto, Aspas, Suarez, Robinson, Assaidi.
