The Reds have started the season perfectly, with three wins in their first three wins and no goals conceded.

Victory in Monday night’s clash at Swansea will see Brendan Rodgers’ men return to the top of the league table, ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham.

The Reds have only scored three goals this season and Aspas is yet to claim his first competitive goal for the club, but he believes the side have the ability in attack to damage Premier League defences.

“We have an excellent attack,” he told the Sunday People. “With Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez we are able to break any defence.

“It is certainly not madness to aspire to winning the title this season.”

Aspas, who moved to Anfield in the summer from Celta Vigo, is hoping to retain his place in the starting line-up despite the signing of Victor Moses on-loan from Chelsea and the impending return of Luis Suarez later this month.

The 26-year-old also said he is delighted to be living in Liverpool and is still settling in to Mersey life.

He added, “I am still at the stage where I am adapting in Liverpool to the clothes and the food.

“But the people here relate to football and music, and for me it is a pleasure to live this experience.

“I always dreamed of playing for a big club, and Liverpool are known all over the world.”
