Kolo Toure looks at Swansea away with fresh eyes

Kolo Toure has warned his teammates not to be complacent over their current form when they go into Monday night’s Premier League clash away at Swansea City.

The Reds have enjoyed a fantastic start to the new season, winning all of their first three games and are yet to concede a goal.

However, they face the unpredictable task on continuing that run of form at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow evening against Brendan Rodgers’ former club in South Wales.

Whilst Toure was delighted with Liverpool’s nine points from nine, he says the team must take every game as it comes.

He told the club’s official website, “A great start is very important, definitely – but it is better to take it game-by-game.

“We’ve been playing every game like a cup final and we want to win games – when we go out, it doesn’t matter where we’re going to play or against who we’re going to play, we will give 100 per cent and try to win.

“What we’ve done so far is finished now – we’ve won three games, but that is finished. It is the next step that is the most important, and that is going to be Swansea. We will put everything in to try and win this game because the past is done. It’s finished.”

Results in the league over the weekend saw Liverpool drop to third in the table, with the Swansea game their game in hand. Victory over the Swans will see the Reds move back up to the top of the table, ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham.

Swansea vs Liverpool gets underway at 8pm on Monday, 16th September 2013. Come back to This Is Anfield on Monday for a full match preview, team news and build-up.
