LFC Line-up vs Man City: Aly Cissokho replaces Jon Flanagan

Aly Cissokho replaced the injured Jon Flanagan in an otherwise unchanged starting line-up for Liverpool’s trip to Manchester City on Thursday afternoon.

Liverpool need to beat Man City at the Etihad Stadium to return to the top of the Premier League.

Flanagan will be out for several weeks with a hamstring injury, after starting the last six games for Liverpool at left-back.

Cissokho hasn’t played since Liverpool’s 4-0 victory over Fulham at Anfield on November 9th.

Raheem Sterling and Philippe Coutinho continue to support Luis Suarez in attack, with Jordan Henderson helping the push forward, in front of the central midfield duo of Joe Allen and Lucas Leiva.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Cissokho, Skrtel, Sakho, Johnson, Lucas, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez.

Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Agger, Alberto, Aspas, Moses, Smith.

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Lescott, Kompany, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Nasri, Silva, Negredo, Navas.

Manchester City vs Liverpool gets underway at 5.30pm and is live on BT Sport 1.
