Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has been named the Barclays Manager of the Month for March, with duo Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez sharing the Player of the Month award.
It’s the second time this season Rodgers has won the award after also collecting it back in August. Rodgers guided his side to five wins out of five and a maximum 15 points during the month to put Liverpool firmly in the hunt for the Barclays Premier League title. The Reds scored 18 goals in March, registering wins against Manchester United (3-0), Cardiff City (6-3), Southampton (3-0), Tottenham Hotspur (4-0) and Sunderland (2-1).
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and striker Luis Suarez have been jointly named as Barclays Player of the Month for March. Englishman Gerrard, winning the award for the sixth time in his career, found the net four times in March, including a memorable penalty double at Old Trafford, as he played a key role in helping Liverpool win five out of five in the Barclays Premier League.
Barclays Premier League leading goalscorer Luis Suarez collects the Barclays Player of the Month award for the second time this season after first winning it in December. The Uruguayan striker fired six goals for the Reds in March, including a hat-trick in the 6-3 win against Cardiff City.
Gerrard and Suarez were joint winners of the Barclays Player of the Month award for March after gaining the same number of votes from the Barclays Panel.
