With the win, the reigning NBA Champions advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for a fourth straight year where they will face the winner of the Washington Wizards vs. Indiana Pacers series.

Forward LeBron James, a minority investor in Liverpool, led the Heat with 29 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Guard Dwyane Wade finished with 28 points while Chris Bosh added 16 points.

Sturridge, who was this week selected by England for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, is a Heat fan and tweeted the following message during the game:

The NBA Playoffs began in mid-April and culminate with the NBA Finals scheduled to begin on June 5.

Sturridge is relaxing in Miami ahead of joining up with the England squad ahead of the World Cup. Roy Hodgson’s squad will use Miami as their training base ahead of the tournament and will play Ecuador in a friendly there on May 30th.
