Brendan Rodgers makes just two changes to the side which beat Leicester City in the week, with the Brazilian replacing Gerrad behind Rickie Lambert up front. Alberto Moreno comes in for Javier Manquillo, with Glen Johnson moving to right-back.

Martin Skrtel makes his 200th Premier League appearance for the club, continuing alongside Kolo Toure.

Adam Lallana and Raheem Sterling continue out wide, with Jordan Henderson and Lucas marshalling the midfield.

Again there’s no recognised forward on the bench.
