Liverpool saved their best performance of the season so far until the final game of 2014, comfortably seeing off Swansea City 4-1 at Anfield, with goals from Alberto Moreno, Adam Lallana (2) and Jonjo Shelvey (own goal).
Philippe Coutinho was they key man in attack, creating Lallana’s second and making the Reds tick. The two attacking midfielders were the difference in the game and received much praise.
Terrific performance, save for the customary crazy 5 minutes at the back. Lallana and Coutinho are both purring right now, class acts.

Swansea have helped, but encouraging for Liverpool. Pressed really well, Lallana, Coutinho, Henderson excellent. Emre Can promising, too.

Coutinho/ Lallana outstanding, Can/ Sakho making the defence look better, Henderson brilliant back in the middle. The league is ours #LFC

There's a chance that 2-3 of #LFC direct competitors for 4th place will drop points on Thursday. Beating Leicester is a must now.

The one worrying moment saw Sterling, who looked tired in the second half, raise his hands after provocation from Swansea defender Federico Fernandez – Liverpool will be hoping the 20-year-old doesn’t pick up a ban consequently.
