Milner will officially become a Liverpool player, subject to a medical, on July 1st when his contract at City expires. The 29-year-old is the Reds’ first signing of the summer to be announced, with Burnley‘s Danny Ings expected to follow soon.

Henderson was speaking at an England press conference ahead of his country’s international friendly against the Republic of Ireland this Sunday.
“It’s a fantastic signing,” Henderson told journalists. “For me, his attitude, on and off the field is first class. You know you’re going to get everything from him and quality as well.
“I watched a lot of City games last year and he contributes a lot in games, whether it be assists or goals, and does a lot of the dirty work as well.
“I look forward to playing with him next season.”
