Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was pleased with his side’s performance in the 0-0 draw at Arsenal on Monday night – their third clean sheet in a row – but disappointed not to take all three points.
“I thought we were outstanding right the way through, we showed everything tonight,” he praised in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.
“First half we had good defensive organisation but looked a real threat and some of our football was outstanding. You heard Petr Cech getting a round of applause for a couple of saves he made in the first half.
“Overall, we kept a really good clean sheet but disappointed that we didn’t get the win.”
Rodgers was asked about Simon Mignolet‘s saves, commenting that “Simon is an outstanding goalkeeper”.
