Video: Steven Gerrard posts good luck message to Liverpool FC

Former Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard has posted a good luck video message ahead of the new season.

Gerrard, whose LA Galaxy take on Seattle Sounders on Sunday, spoke of his hope for silver in May.

“I would just like to take this opportunity to wish Brendan, all his staff and all the players to have a very successful season,” said the 35-year-old.

“I’m going to be watching and supporting my ex-teammates and all the new signings, and hopefully come May we’ll be celebrating some silverware and a very good season.

“I would also like the opportunity to say hello and good luck to our supporters, at home and around the world, and hopefully you’re all very happy come May. Best of luck.”

On Friday Gerrard posted on his Instagram account similarly, writing: “I just wanted to wish the Reds the very best of luck for the season ahead, all my ex team mates and to the new boys that have signed I’m sure it’s going to be an exciting one. I will be watching every match over here that I can. #LFC #YNWA”
