Following Liverpool’s last-gasp 4-3 victory over Borussia Dortmund, we round-up the best social media reaction throughout the evening.
A truly balmy night on Merseyside ended in the most dramatic fashion, as Dejan Lovren‘s stoppage time header sent the Reds through.
Liverpool trailed 2-0 after just 10 minutes, but despite the tie almost looking over, Jurgen Klopp‘s side never gave up.
Divock Origi pulled a goal back just after half-time, and although Marco Reus scored a third for Dortmund, the Reds came back once more.
Philippe Coutinho and Mamadou Sakho both scored to put the hosts within one goal of making it through to the semis, and Lovren’s bullet header sealed an unbelievable triumph.
It is a night that will never be forgotten.
There were incredible scenes both inside and outside Anfield prior to kick-off, bringing back memories of Liverpool’s 2013/14 campaign:

The two early goals were an enormous setback:
Klopp was right about that away goal not counting for much.

This is a sensational Dortmund team. Can't do a lot about it.
— Henry Jackson (@HenryJackson87) April 14, 2016
Liverpool have to score 3 now. Sigh
— LFC Fans Corner (@LFCFansCorner) April 14, 2016
So it wasn't just empty words from Thomas Tuchel. What a ball from Marco Reus. @BVB electric so far; @LFC are frozen

Istanbul V2 needed here.

Supporters gave their thoughts at half-time, with Klopp criticised for his team selection:
HT #LFC 0-2 #BVB – effectively all over. If Liverpool stood off any further they'd be in the crowd. Very very poor.
— Ian Doyle (@IanDoyleSport) April 14, 2016
HT thoughts: Take Milner and Lallana off; Sturridge alongside Origi, Firmino at 10, Coutinho and Allen on side of diamond midfield.

A bad night at the office for Klopp so far. Big mistake playing Milner in this role and not starting Allen. Changes needed.
— Henry Jackson (@HenryJackson87) April 14, 2016
So James Milner isn't that good centrally…who would've thought it
— Sam McGuire (@SamMcGuire90) April 14, 2016
Midfield needs another block of security, but doing so depletes the attack. A crucial HT for Jürgen Klopp. Dortmund devastating so far. #LFC
— Danny Gallagher (@Danny7Gallagher) April 14, 2016
So as expected, Dortmund are really good but I can't help feel we've been far too compliant in making it too easy for them #lfc

The second-half saw Liverpool produce one of their most famous comebacks in European history, and the fans were ecstatic following the final whistle:
Respect to Dortmund. Proper opponent. Great fans. Deserved more, but it makes the victory all the better, I guess.

Liverpool are still the only unbeaten team in Europe this season.

Today was the first game Dortmund have lost all year and further extends Liverpools unbeaten run in Europe.
