“Deserved 3 points and what a goal by our skipper” – Liverpool players react to Chelsea victory

As you would expect after such a fantastic victory against Chelsea on their own patch, the Reds were out in force on their social media accounts to celebrate an excellent three points.

Producing another fine big away-day performance, Jurgen Klopp’s side showed their class and new found resilience to claim a superb win over Antonio Conte’s side.

The class came via Dejan Lovren’s composed volley and a magnificent 30-yard curling strike from Jordan Henderson to hand Klopp’s side a 2-0 lead, which Diego Costa reduced converting from close-range after the break.

And the improved doggedness was evident as the Reds dug in during a testing final 30 minutes to claim a superb victory on return to the scene of Klopp’s first Premier League win, cementing an increasingly impressive start to the season.
