“Sakho is finished” “He won’t play again” – Liverpool fans react to Mamadou Sakho’s Snapchat updates

Mamadou Sakho has effectively ended his Liverpool career. That’s the view of most fans after the defender posted a series of Snapchat messages showing his frustration at his situation.

Sakho wrote on the social media platform late on Friday night:

“Now it’s 3 weeks since I am fit to play games. I finish all my rehabilitation work. They don’t want me to play also with second team lol! Why I don’t know.”

“Still working hard like Scouse Soldier! Still not talking cos I want speak on pitch.. I will speak soon for the people who support me and don’t understand the situation.

“Still happy to live in my “Liverpool Country” with my family, hope to have chance to play soon to give my best like I try to do always!

“I accept my situation but I can’t accept the lie… The fans deserve to know the true! Thanks for your support.”

It’s a dangerous move from the Frenchman, after he turned down a loan move away from the club last month and against the manager’s advice.

Fans now are struggling to see a way back for Sakho, with this turn in events hardly likely to prove his professionalism or help his cause with Jurgen Klopp:

As one pointed out, the timing of this was hardly wise, the night before an important home match where Klopp has called for a positive atmosphere throughout the club:

Some fans also saw Sakho’s side though, and at least the defender wants to be playing:
