“Great attitude and a deserved win” – Fans react to Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Stoke City

Liverpool provided a late Christmas present to Anfield as they recorded a 4-1 victory over Stoke City on Tuesday evening.

Joel Matip didn’t make the squad as expected so Ragnar Klavan was handed his third successive league start alongside Dejan Lovren at centre-back.

Georginio Wijnaldum got the nod ahead of Emre Can in midfield and Roberto Firmino retained his place in the starting lineup despite being charged with drink-driving on Christmas Eve.

Divock Origi also retained his place up front ahead of Daniel Sturridge as Jurgen Klopp named an unchanged side for the third successive game.

Liverpool dominated the first 10 minutes but it was Jonathan Walters who broke the deadlock for Stoke, before Adam Lallana equalised in the 34th minute.

Firmino gave the Reds the lead shortly before half-time and Sturridge confirmed all three points with a fourth after Stoke gifted an own goal in the second half.

Here are all the best reactions from social media throughout the game.
