Serie A side Napoli have joined Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid as Liverpool’s potential opponents in the Audi Cup in Germany this pre-season.
The Reds are set for a pair of clashes in Munich in August, with a semi-final followed by either a final or a third-place playoff.
Bayern and Atletico had already been confirmed alongside the Reds as taking part, but the Bundesliga giants have now revealed that Maurizio Sarri’s side will complete the quartet.
Liverpool will play Bayern in their opener on August 1 (8.30pm CET), before playing the winner of Atletico and Napoli’s clash earlier in the evening (5.45pm CET).
The resulting game will be on August 2, with the Reds then flying to Dublin to finish their pre-season schedule with a high-profile friendly against Athletic Bilbao on August 5.
Earlier on Thursday, Liverpool confirmed two domestic friendlies against Tranmere Rovers (July 12) and Wigan Athletic (July 14).
They will also take on Hertha Berlin in a joint-anniversary showcase at the Olympiastadion (July 29).
