Confirmed Liverpool lineup vs. Wigan Athletic: Lallana, Coutinho & Salah all start

Jurgen Klopp continues his pre-season preparations by naming two different lineups for Liverpool’s second summer friendly away to Wigan Athletic.

The Reds take to the DW Stadium looking to build on Wednesday night’s 4-0 victory away to Tranmere Rovers, as they round off a two-game domestic run.

Before he leads his side to Hong Kong for the Premier League Asia Trophy, Klopp will be looking for another productive display in Greater Manchester.

As with at Prenton Park, the German has named two lineups for the Friday night clash, with Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah among those to start.

Simon Mignolet begins the night in goal, behind a back four of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Jon Flanagan.

Jordan Henderson takes his place in midfield, joined by Lallana and Ben Woodburn in support of Coutinho, Salah and Roberto Firmino in attack.

Dejan Lovren, Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi are among those due to replace Klopp’s starting charges at half-time, with the 50-year-old eager to afford his squad with the minutes they require this summer.

Lucas Leiva is left out as he closes in on a £5 million move to Lazio.

First Half XI: Mignolet; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Klavan, Flanagan; Henderson, Woodburn, Lallana; Salah, Coutinho, Firmino
