Following the big breaking news surrounding Virgil van Dijk‘s £75 million move to Liverpool, supporters have reacted in delighted fashion.
Just as we were all sat around contemplating our horrendous food and alcohol intake over Christmas, a truly significant story broke on Wednesday.
Liverpool have confirmed Van Dijk as their first signing of the January transfer window, with the fee believed to be rising to £75 million.
The Reds tried their best to get a deal over the line prior to deadline day, having previously been forced to end their interest after Jurgen Klopp had met the Dutchman before contact had been made with Southampton.

Realistically, VVD is the best CB LFC could’ve signed. Only the the elite, unattainable players are above him. Likewise with Keita. Klopp not settling for second best, whilst annoying in the interim, is admirable. He’s here long term, and won’t look for the quick fix
