Confirmed Liverpool lineup vs. Everton: Solanke starts as Klopp names bold derby lineup

Jurgen Klopp has made another six changes to his Liverpool lineup for Sunday afternoon’s Merseyside derby clash with Everton at Anfield.

The Reds welcome their city rivals across Stanley Park as they look to extend their unbeaten run to 10 games.

Following an emphatic 7-0 win over Spartak Moscow on Wednesday night, sealing their place in the Champions League‘s last 16, Liverpool will be in jubilant spirits heading into the derby.

And once again showcasing the depth at his disposal, Klopp has rung the changes for the fifth consecutive game, in search of a fourth win in a row.

Simon Mignolet takes over from Loris Karius in goal, despite the 24-year-old’s impressive, front-footed display against Spartak in midweek.

The Belgian, Klopp’s first choice in the league, is charged with organising a back four of Joe Gomez, Dejan Lovren, Ragnar Klavan and Andrew Robertson.

And with Jordan Henderson returning in midfield, the captain reclaims the armband as he operates in the engine room, flanked by James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

In attack, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane will provide support for Dominic Solanke, with both Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino on the substitutes’ bench.

Danny Ings joins the Brazilians, named in Klopp’s Premier League squad for the first time since the final day of the 2015/16 campaign away to West Brom.

The Reds have won their last three clashes with Everton, and have not lost in the Merseyside derby since 2010, winning seven and drawing seven of their 14 meetings since that 2-0 loss.

They’ve not lost at Anfield in the derby since 1999, going 18 games without defeat, and Klopp will be eager to extend that run.
