Mohamed Salah has signed a new five-year deal with Liverpool, and fans have lauded the Egyptian King for pledging his commitment to Merseyside.

The future of the Reds’ attacking talisman came into question with Real Madrid rumoured to be interested in a move, but Salah has now quashed speculation.

Putting pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at Anfield until at least 2023, the 26-year-old has ensured he will remain one of the key cogs of Jurgen Klopp‘s side for the long term.

Coming on the day Liverpool began pre-season ahead of their third full campaign under the German, this serves as a major statement of intent from both player and club.

And after his blistering 44-goal debut season, supporters could not be happier with the news.
