Every Liverpool FC player’s value in Fantasy Premier League for 2018/19

The Premier League season is only a little over a month away, which can mean only one thing: Fantasy Premier League. Here’s how Liverpool value.

The World Cup is still taking centre stage, but it won’t be long until domestic football is all that matters again.

Liverpool play their first pre-season friendly of the summer on Saturday afternoon, with new signings Naby Keita and Fabinho set to feature at Chester.

The Reds’ opening competitive game of 2018/19 comes at home to West Ham on the weekend of August 11/12, by which time your Fantasy Premier League team will have been created.

In order to give plenty of time for us to mastermind our sides, the values for every player has already been released, with the cost of each Liverpool squad member making for interesting reading.

Unsurprisingly, it is Mohamed Salah who is the priciest Red to acquire, with the Egyptian King taking up a cool £13 million of your £100 million budget.

He is the most expensive player available, ahead of Tottenham‘s Harry Kane (£12.5 million).

Salah’s fellow front-three destroyers Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino will both cost you £9.5 million, which could actually be a steal considering their potency last season.

Keita is widely expected to become an immediate Premier League superstar, combining all facets of midfield duties to devastating effect.

Signing the Guinean for your team for £7.5 million looks good value when you consider his eye for goals and assists from the middle of the park. He does attract a red card, though.

Fabinho (£6 million) is less of a fantasy football player even though he chips in in the final third, especially if he is going to be used as a defensive midfielder.

Trent Alexander-Arnold at just £5 million is surely worth a punt, given his attacking quality and set-piece delivery from right-back, and Andy Robertson (£6 million) would also be a shrewd addition.

You can never completely trust Liverpool defensively, which does making picking anyone at the back a slight risk, but there are signs that Jurgen Klopp‘s side are improving all the time in that area.

In terms of players to avoid, Adam Lallana at £7 million doesn’t look worth the hassle, given his injury record, inconsistency and marginal role.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (£6.5million) will be out injured until at least November, so selecting him would make little sense too.
