Liverpool kicked off their pre-season with a comprehensive 6-0 win at Tranmere Rovers on Thursday, as Jurgen Klopp‘s men returned to action in style.

After a well-earned break, the newly crowned European champions headed to Prenton Park, looking to get their summer off to a winning start.

Klopp named two separate starting lineups for the game, in order to give those present a decent run-out—and the fans a look at a few new faces.

Not many would have banked on Nathaniel Clyne being Liverpool’s first goalscorer of pre-season, but he hammered home a finish that had Trent Alexander-Arnold written all over it.
