Liverpool cruised to a 3-0 win at Bournemouth, and fans were delighted as a rare clean sheet and another three points were collected.
Bournemouth 0-3 Liverpool
Premier League, Dean Court
December 7, 2019
Goals: Oxlade-Chamberlain 35’, Keita 44’, Salah 54′
The Reds made the trip to the south coast to face a Bournemouth outfit without a win in their last four, polarising fortunes to a Liverpool side on a run of six successive league victories.
A record which then became seven as Jurgen Klopp’s side turned on the style in the latter stages of the first half with two sumptuous goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.
The latter then repaid Mohamed Salah for his stunning back-heel assist as the Egyptian found the corner of the net to hand Liverpool a commanding lead with over a third of the game remaining.
Liverpool’s dominance on and off the ball paved the way for a memorable moment for Curtis Jones as he made his Premier League bow late in the piece as
The result secures the Reds’ 15th win of the season and stretches their lead atop of the table to 11 points with Leicester yet to play.
Here’s how supporters reacted to the result on Twitter, Facebook and This Is Anfield’s forums.
It was a slow start, but the Reds’ avenue to goal in the first 45 left fans in awe …
Liverpool picking up from where they left off against Everton with another two stunning goals. A slow start but turned on the style late on to devastating effect.

It’s not said enough, Jordan Henderson’s passing range is incredible. #BOULIV

Up the long ball reds.

16 – Of the 18 outfield players to feature for Liverpool in the Premier League this season, Naby Keita is the 16th to score; only in 2015-16 have they had more different scorers in a single Premier League campaign (17). Plethora. pic.twitter.com/X81GWpKq51

Nah Salah’s assist is too much, absolutely world class backheel to Keita.
— Samuel (@SamueILFC) December 7, 2019
“That nice run between the lines, and that AMAZING pass from Salah, and the goal itself is simple enough. Art!”
– Magnus on the forums.
The touch of Mo today ???
— SimonBrundish (@SimonBrundish) December 7, 2019
Liverpool's second goal started with a pass from Keita in the right back position in his own half and finished 4 passes later with Keita scoop shovelling home from Salah's backheel. Keita – Milner – Keita – Salah – Keita – goal…..lovely goal

Lovren’s suspected injury, meanwhile, left many concerned but Gomez remained the silver lining…
Damn it. We don’t need Lovren out, and we don’t need Trent having to play today.
— Erin Mc Asterisk (@ErinNYC75) December 7, 2019
With Lovren joining Matip on the injury list, big opportunity for Gomez to settle himself back in central defence alongside Virgil Van Dijk. Remember how good that partnership was at the start of last season?
— Jonathan Higgins (@Jhiggins3) December 7, 2019
And Gomez gets his chance. Nice to have four quality CB’s. Worrying that two are already injured and it’s still early in Dec.”
– El Dorado on the forums.
“Not how I would have wanted Gomez to get his chance as center back, but I do think this is our best partnership.”
– Iluvatar on the forums.
Got to pray Gomez and Van Dijk stay fit now and Lovren & Matip get back asap.

Go on Curtis lad.
— Green Scouser (@Green_Scouser) December 7, 2019
Great moment for local lad Curtis Jones who make his Premier League bow. Has come on leaps and bounds this season with the Under-23s. Fully deserved recognition for his form.
— Leanne Prescott (@_lfcleanne) December 7, 2019
“Ooo excellent, Curtis Jones – Well deserved debut!”
– Iluvatar on the forums.
Made up for Curtis Jones here. Big moment for the South End
— John Gibbons (@johngibbonsblog) December 7, 2019
Curtis Jones has a real chance, technically gifted
— John O Sullivan (@Corballyred) December 7, 2019
And a plethora of players were lauded as Klopp’s rotation continues to reap the rewards…
Been one of his biggest critics but #Henderson seems to have upped his game dramatically this season. #LFC

Mo has been bang on it today
— Andy Heaton (@Andrew_Heaton) December 7, 2019
Got 5 goals out of fringe players, Mo hitting some form, Gomez playing a blinder at CB.

Perfect day apart from the Lovren injury. "Squad players" have stepped up massively this week. That's another massive 3 points after a hectic week.
— Green Scouser (@Green_Scouser) December 7, 2019
Running out of superlatives for this Liverpool team. Dominated from minute one, all the changes making their mark. Naby Keita was superb throughout, calm composed and sharper than anybody else in midfield. A nice little rest for Sadio Mané also. Clean sheets return. #LFCdigest
— Danny Gallagher (@Danny7Gallagher) December 7, 2019
Overall, a clean sheet and three points were welcomed as Liverpool calmly cruised to another valuable win…
No stress. No anxiety. Just 3 points. #LFC
— Ben Webb (@BenWebbLFC) December 7, 2019
That was remarkably enjoyably calm.
— Erin Mc Asterisk (@ErinNYC75) December 7, 2019
“Finally a clean sheet and no heart attacks!”
– Scott Ted Mosby Armstrong on Facebook.
Liverpool have had to really fight and grind out a lot of wins so far this season but for the past hour this has been an absolute stroll in the park. Perfect preparation for Tuesday's game v Salzburg #LFC
— James Pearce (@JamesPearceLFC) December 7, 2019
Doesn’t matter about the way the other team plays!still have to win the game?another good 3 points and a clean sheet at last?YNWA
— John Aldridge (@Realaldo474) December 7, 2019
“33 games unbeaten. Unbelievable. Clean sheet. Naby with a goal and assist with plenty of room for improvement. 14 points ahead of City. We are going to win the league.
Played some lovely, proper footy. Big Virg was boss, Hendo doing an Alonso impersonation. Just how good are we?
RELENTLESS.” – SirBillShankly on the forums.
Hugely satisfying victory for Liverpool, even more pleasing that it's another good performance after a big shuffle of the cards. A clean sheet today in what was a complete stroll in the park for #LFC The record breaking unbeaten run continues #BOULIV
— Jonathan Higgins (@Jhiggins3) December 7, 2019
Easiest game of the season for #LFC. That players kept working so hard till the end shows their character. As for Bournemouth, injuries must be a huge concern. Never looked in the game.
— Paul Grech (@paul_grech) December 7, 2019
It's a clean sheet, more crucial squad contributions – Naby Keita excellent – and another attacking masterclass from a relentless #LFC. They've won their last five PL games against Bournemouth by an aggregate score of 17-0. Eeek.
— Melissa Reddy (@MelissaReddy_) December 7, 2019
Keita and Chamberlain making a huge impact, great game management to seize control and conserve energy ahead of a busy month and a first clean sheet in 14 games. Perfect performance all round. #LFC
