Sami Hyypia hopes to complete his medal collection by winning the Premiership next season.
The Big Finn’s impressive collection includes Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Cup and League Cup winners medals since he joined The Reds in 1999.
Only a Premiership winners medal is needed to complete the set and he is keen to put that right next season.
‘We need to keep improving because that’s what everybody else will be doing. Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham will all be working in the transfer market to better their squads and we need to do the same,’ said Hyypia.
‘The league is getting tougher to win every year but it’s the one medal I haven’t won and I’d love to do it next season.
‘This year has been a good one for us because we won a major trophy, but we didn’t win the title and we didn’t go as far as we wanted to in Europe so there is room for improvement.
‘I’m sure the manager knows what he wants for next year and he’ll be working hard in the summer to put his squad together. The league title is the one we all want now. It’s the only medal I haven’t won with Liverpool and I’d love to complete the set.’
