The ongoing transfer saga surrounding Liverpool’s attempts to sign Daniel Alves from Sevilla is set to take another turn, with reports suggesting that Benitez has flown out to Spain to negotiate a deal with the La Liga club.
It is understood that Sevilla have turned down two offers from Liverpool this summer which have not met their asking price of around £12million for the full-back.
According to reports in Monday’s press, it is thought that Benitez flew to Spain following the pre-season friendly 2-0 victory over Wrexham on Saturday and is very eager to salvage a deal for the Brazilian.
The Reds have already hinted that although there have been four new arrivals at Anfield this summer, the summer spending spree is not over yet.
