Liverpool travel to the City of Manchester Stadium to face Sven Goran Erikkson’s Man City side on Sunday afternoon. The fourth and fifth placed teams in the table meet as the festive fixtures come thick and fast – with City having played a day later on Thursday opposed to Boxing Day when the Reds beat Derby.
Javier Mascherano is almost certain to come back into the side, as is Dirk Kuyt up front alongside the in-form Fernando Torres.
