Rafa ‘“ United are not untouchable

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez insists Manchester United are not the untouchable team the media has portrayed them to be lately.

Alex Ferguson’s men are enjoying a rich run of form ‘“ unbeaten in 2009 – and sit seven points clear at the top of the Premier League going into today’s clash at Old Trafford against the Reds.

But Benitez believes that there are cracks in the United stronghold and is adamant his side can exploit them in today’s game.

“I do not believe they are untouchable, as has been suggested, clearly I believe we can win,” said Benitez.

“If we don’t win it will be very difficult to win the title. If we want to be in the title race we have to win at Old Trafford.

“If we can play at the same level as we did against Real Madrid, then we can beat anyone.

“Everything is possible. If we can play with the same high tempo as we did against Real Madrid, and keep possession as well as we did, then we can win the game.”

Manchester United vs Liverpool gets underway at 12.45pm and is live on Sky Sports.
