Kuyt: We won’t give up

After scoring his 12th and 13th goals of the season in his 100th League appearance for Liverpool on Satutday, Dirk Kuyt continues to enjoy a superb season.

The Dutchman has made the wide right berth his own and contributed a very healthy number of goals from that position.

His workrate is second-to-none and his apparent sense of humour off the pitch is clear to see – as was shown by his Rafa-style ‘gesture’ after this second at Hull! Well in Dirk lad!

Never one to give up, Dirk insists we shouldn’t lose hope of the title just yet – despite United’s increasing run of luck. “We will keep fighting and putting the pressure on Manchester United,” said Kuyt.

“It was a pity that we didn’t beat Arsenal on Tuesday because I thought we played really well, only we made too many mistakes, but sometimes that happens. We have to move on now to what’s in front of us. We will try to win our games and hopefully they will lose some points.

“I’ve seen some strange things happen. We could still do it.”

“They will need to slip up again to make it really interesting, but we just have to wait and see. We won’t give up.”
