Reds confirm South-East Asia games

Liverpool have confirmed that they will play at least two of their pre-season friendlies in South-East Asia in a bid to expand their worldwide fanbase and business strategies.

Rafa Benitez’s men will take on the national team of Thailand in Bangkok on 22nd July, before heading South to play Singapore four days later.

Former Reds star Steve McMahon, who is helping orchestrate the two fixtures, said, “It is fantastic news that we are able to bring one of the best club sides in the world to Thailand and Singapore. It will give a real opportunity for Liverpool fans in the South East Asian region a chance to see their heroes play up close.”

More details of the games and how to get tickets will be announced at an official press conference in Asia next month.

As previously reported on This Is Anfield, Liverpool have also arranged a pre-season friendly with Espanyol in Barcelona on August 2nd.
