Ngog wants to help title charge

Liverpool striker David Ngog says he wants to play his part in Liverpool’s assault on the Premier League title this season.

With just three games remaining, the Reds know they must win every game and hope league leaders Manchester Utd slip-up.

And the 20-year-old French striker, who recently scored in the 4-0 win at home to Blackburn and was a second half substitute during Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle, says he hopes to be part of the final part of the chase.

He says, “If I can help the team in any way then I will be very happy. We have some big games coming up and I have to work hard to be involved in them.

“At this stage of the season the manager needs everyone so we have to be ready.

“Whenever I have played I have really enjoyed it and to now have two goals for the first team gives me more confidence for the rest of the season.”
