Liverpool will face Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in the first match of the new Premier League season, a game the Reds lost during the 2008/09 campaign.
Rafa Benitez will take his men to North London on the weekend of August 15th, before they host Stoke City at Anfield four days later.
It is the sixth season in a row where Liverpool have been given an away trip for their opening match by the Premier League. The last time they had an opening home game, in the 2003/04 season, they lost 2-1 to Chelsea.
It may also be worth pointing out that title rivals Manchester Utd start and finish at home.

The annual trip to Old Trafford is on March 20th and Chelsea visit Anfield in the penultimate game of the season on May 1st.
