Next Up: Manchester Utd (h)

With four defeats in their last four games, this game might seem like it’s coming at exactly the wrong time for Rafa Benitez’s men.

Premier League leaders Manchester Utd come to Anfield on Sunday for a game which many are billing as make or break for Liverpool, with four defeats already in the league this season.

This fixture last season saw the Reds come from behind to beat Utd 2-1 thanks to a second half winner from Ryan Babel.

Benitez will be hoping to have Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres back from injury. Gerrard was forced out of Tuesday’s 1-2 defeat with Lyon early and Torres hasn’t played since picking up a knock whilst on international duty for Spain last week.

Alberto Aquilani remains out injured, but a return to action for him doesn’t look so distant anymore.
