Liverpool Deny Yossi Exit Rumours

Liverpool have rubbished earlier media reports that claimed Yossi Benayoun would be making a transfer window move to Dynamo Moscow.

According to the earlier reports, the Russian side had agreed personal terms with the player’s agent and the club’s sporting director Konstantin Sarsania was quoted as saying:  “We came to an agreement with the player’s agent.

“Now everything depends on Liverpool’s position.

“I don’t think there will be news on Wednesday, but in the next two days the situation should be clarified.”

But Liverpool have come out and dismissed these reports with a club spokesman simply saying: “The player is not for sale, it’s as simple as that.”

That’s a relief, when I read about this Yossi rumour this morning I nearly choked on my corn flakes!

With injury plagued Torres and Gerrard in and out of the side like yo-yo’s for the past 12 months or so, Benny Onion has been our best and most consistent performer in an attacking/creative sense, and we certainly could have done with him last night.

I’m not surprised other clubs are showing an interest but losing him would be a big blow to us and right now we should be looking at adding more quality to our squad, not losing the precious little we have.
