A week ago most Liverpool fans would have agreed the three positions that needed strengthening before the close of the transfer window this Tuesday were left back, centre midfield and up front.
With dynamic midfielder Raul Meireles confirmed, left back Paul Konchesky expected to be completed by Monday, only one position remains for Roy Hodgson to fulfill his squad.
One man heavily linked with a move to Anfield, and whose interest has been confirmed, is Swedish forward Ola Toivonen. The 24 year old PSV forward has started the season in impressive form and at 6ft 4 would offer a new dimension in Liverpool’s attack.
