Liverpool’s newly appointed director of football strategy, Damien Comolli, is keeping an eye on Preston North End’s Adam Barton.
Comolli was in attendance at Deepdale on Friday night to watch the highly rated nineteen year old, who has been scouted by Liverpool for several weeks now.
Barton can be described as a ‘box to box’ centre midfielder. He has been an ever-present for Preston this season, scoring once.
Comolli was also in attendance to watch Daniel Ayala, who is currently on loan at Hull City.
Meanwhile, Comolli has praised St Etienne winger Dimitri Payet. The 23 year-old has been likened to Luka Modric.
