Monday’s LFC Transfer Rumours

The next transfer window may still be far away, but there’ll be plenty of talk over the next few months over how Liverpool can improve the squad and get back to competing in the top places of the Premier League.

First things first, 19-year-old attacker David Amoo has joined Hull City on loan until the end of the season.

Sky Sports report this morning that Liverpool are keeping tabs on the availability of Barcelona striker Bojan.

The Spanish international signed a new deal at the Nou Camp at the back end of last year, but the La Liga Champions could be willing to let him go on loan for next season.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also reported to be interested.

Liverpool will also look to sign 25-year-old left-back Oscar Wendt from FC Copenhagen this summer, according to reports.

Kenny Dalglish is in need of sorting out Liverpool’s left-back problems with both Emiliano Insua and Paul Konchesky out on loan.

Wendt, a Swedish international, is out of contract with his Danish club at the end of the season and would be available on a free transfer.

LFC chief scout Jakob Friis-Hansen is believed to have targeted Wendt.

Now for the stupid rumours…

Dirk Kuyt is reportedly the target of Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

The 30-year-old Dutch international however has recently hinted of being on the verge of signing a new contract at Anfield.

His current deal at Liverpool runs out in 2012.

Wolfsburg have also been linked with a move for Reds defender Martin Skrtel lately, but again Skrtel has signalled his intentions to stay on Merseyside.

And there are a number of reports suggesting Arsenal will launch a £20million move for Pepe Reina this summer. Nothing to do with their calamitous end to the Carling Cup final yesterday, would it?
