Busy summer ahead for some international Reds

It may be a World Cup and European Championship free summer, but some Liverpool players will still face a busy schedule with the Copa America and the European Under 21 Championships.

Record signing Andy Carroll has been named in what is a very strong provisional England Under 21 squad, alongside Arsenal‘s Jack Wilshere.

Arsene Wenger has been vocal in expressing his disapproval at Wilshere being included in the tournament, which runs from 11 June to 25 June in Denmark, while Kenny Dalglish has yet to comment on Carroll’s inclusion.

Elsewhere this summer, the Copa America takes place from 1 July to 24 July in Argentina. That will see Lucas Levia representing Brazil and Luis Suarez in action for Uruguay. While two players with doubts over their Anfield futures, Maxi Rodriguez and Emiliano Insua, will be lining up for the host nation.

Liverpool face Norweigan side Vaalerenga on August 1st after a tour of the Far East as part of their pre-season preparations.
