Liverpool went down 2-1 to AS Roma at Boston Red Sox’s Fenway Park on Wednesday evening, their first defeat of the current pre-season campaign.
The game again saw Brendan Rodgers name an under strength Liverpool side, with stars of Euro 2012 sitting out after having had just one day’s training with the first team.
Charlie Adam scored a well taken late consolation goal after Roma had gone two up with two second half strikes.
