LFC Line-up vs QPR: Rodgers misses game, Sterling returns

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will miss today’s final Premier League game of 2012 due to a sickness bug. He, and also second choice goalkeeper Brad Jones will not be in attendance at Loftus Road today as they recover.

Assistant Colin Pascoe will take over responsibilities and makes a couple of changes to the side that lost miserably at Stoke on Boxing Day.

Raheem Sterling returns to he starting line-up to offer his pace and attacking instinct, supporting Stewart Downing and Luis Suarez towards the front. Suso misses out.

Jordan Henderson joins Steven Gerrard and Joe Allen in midfield.

There is no place in the squad for the elusive Nuri Sahin.

Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Henderson, Gerrard, Allen, Sterling, Suarez, Downing.

Liverpool haven’t won at Loftus Road since 1996 when Robbie Fowler and Mark Wright secured a 2-1 victory for Roy Evans’ Reds.

Kick-off today is 4pm.
