Here’s today’s LFC transfer rumours and reports.
Joe Cole – To West Ham
Joe Cole is set to complete his move to West Ham today, as the club hope to get him registered for the game against Manchester United this weekend. According to The Mirror West Ham will not pay a transfer fee, and the key to completing the deal is Liverpool giving him a ‘golden handshake’ of £3m to compensate his wage reduction. The Times are claiming his LFC salary is in the region of £90,000 p/w.
Nuri Sahin – To Borussia Dortmund
Liverpool are considering Sahin’s future, and according to ESPN Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc said to Bild he is not ruling out a return to Germany for the Turkish international:
“Of course we follow Nuri’s career. He is our boy. The problem in Liverpool is he is not playing in his best position.”
“We once said: ‘If Nuri says he does not want anything else but to play for Dortmund then this will be an issue for us. But it has to be doable.’ Nothing has changed.”
Sahin, on loan from Real Madrid, has failed to claim a regular spot in Brendan Rodgers’ midfield, and the Liverpool manager is considering getting him off the books to free up wages for other purchases.
Should his loan deal with LFC be terminated there could be competition for his signature, with Corriere Dello Sport suggesting a move to Inter Milan could be on the cards. According to the website turkish-football.com, Galatasaray are also interested.
Ricardo Quaresma – Free Agent
The 29 year old Portuguese winger has terminated his contract with Turkish club Besiktas, and can be picked up on a free transfer. According to TalkSport he has been offered to Valencia, Marseille and Liverpool.
Mobido Diakite – From Lazio
The 26 year old French born central defender had a good season in 2011/12, but a lack of game time this season and a contract expiring in the summer suggests he will move this window. TalkSport claim Liverpool and an unnamed Russian club have made contact, with the defender favouring a move to The Reds.

Reported Liverpool target Fernando Llorente is in talks with Juventus, his current club Athletic Bilboa have announced.
And Theo Walcott has begun new contract talks with Arsenal, according to reports today.
